My Home, my city

my city is Fontana, California. A place that not many people would want to be involved in. But i spend my whole life there, and it's not bad once you realize the good parts oppose to the bad. Fontana has tons of parks, with green grass and little children running and laughing with joy. It's basically a city that rarely sleeps because there's always commotion about. Whether it's the Fontana Parade or just the a heated argument between a couple across the street. Many would look at the dirt patches and potholes and say what a city! But in reality, Fontana is still growing. I look around now and see the different stores being built and recreation centers, from rialto all the way down to rancho cucamonga on foothill blvd. I always believed that these buidlings were here when my mother was child, but she when i told her that, she laughed and said, "When i was a little girl, fontana used to be nothing but dirt. All of this," pointing at the buildings as we drove by them, "used to be nothing but dirt and tumbleweeds. They sure did upgrade this place..." That simple comment made me believe that the Brunswick Bowling Alley across the way from our only Wal-Mart on foothill and mango wasn't always there during my 18 years of living. From the sprayed art on the side of a pet store that many would called grafftti to the well-known club royal apartments. My city may not be the best place right now, but that's because she's still growing.
