zzzzzzz.....

Sleep. A neccessity to the human body to restore energy and strength and reguvinates the mind, body, and soul! We knew that since pre-school when we had our nap times and would wake up to have reccess. But now that we are in college, we get less of that day by day. In pre-school, all we had to worry about was knowing our numbers and ABC's. Now, we have to worry about fallacies in an argument and business calculations. The homework we received takes about 3 hours per class! Just doing this blog alone is taking about 30 minutes and I have 2-3 more to type!! In philosophy, it took me an hour or two for an exercise that only had 10 questions. Not to mention working at Wal-Mart as a part-timer but working full-time hours doesn't give me enough time. My schedule consists of waking up and going to class, going to work at 3pm and getting off at 12am. Then once i return home, i work on my homework until 3am before I'm knocked out on my bed with bed books surrounding me as if I'm in a library. Then waking up to my set alarm and starting my day over in the same way. I only get 5 hours of sleep a day and that's IF I'm lucking. Unfortunately, I'm not the only sucker stuck in this hectic schedule. I know a girl who works full-time, goes to school full-time and has two kids!! That's what I call a soldier. But those who on ly goes to school and don't work have all the free time in the world, and indeed I am jealous. But it goes to show you that everyone's life is different. Some people work very hard to get where they are, and some people don't have to do that much. So which one are you?

I wonder.....

I wonder if anyone would aree with me that school is very stressful and can be a conflict with your personal life. I mean studying, making it to class on time, homework, collaborating with your collegues, writing 10 page essays, and preparing yourself for a philosophy test. Then on top of that you have a 9 to 5 job that can take away your free time and study time but you can't quit because you need the money to pay off your tuition and to put food in your refrigerator and clothes on your back. And then stress builds up because your mom had a nervous break down because she can't pay rent so you help with the money you earned... only making it difficlt on yourself. But things can't get any worse when you find out a family member dies. All this making it harder for you to focus in school. You can't focus because you're financially struggling, your mother's struggles stress you even more, and on top of that the pain in your heart from your relative's death can't help you concentrate. So do you think most teachers would understand all of your problems and give you a week to catch up? nope. i doubt it. Most teachers would say "everyone goes through it" but there are a very few that will actually sit down with you and listen to what you have to say... they may even be your shoulder to cry on if you need it. The big question is.... I wonder which teacher on the CSUSB campus is willing to listen and participate?

marijuana's going to be legal!?!?!?!

yes, indeed the dream of weed smokers is finally coming true. Assemblyman Tom Ammiano proposed this law saying that if marijuana is legalized and taxed, it would bring in about $1 billion. Could that be possible? I think so for the fact that so many people smoke illegally or get caught by the police with POUNDS of the cannabis. I only wonder once the economy is stable again will they make marijuana illegal again... How does President Obama feel about this? better yet, does he even know yet? I don't think this is a good idea, but many are going for it. (sigh) i only can imagine those who are supporting it. I'm not trying to put it down, i mean to believe r not i do believe that it's going to work... but at what price are they putting it? Are they going to set the price higher than what it was on the streets? Are they only selling little by little?
